Buying, cleaning, Needed Gear, and Airsoft Laws
Airsoft Laws
In a lot of countries the government does not require you to have a license in order to be allowed to own Airsoft guns. However, the law does require the firepower limit not to surpass a certain boundary. Usually this limit is between 300 to 350 fps indoors and 350 to 450 outdoors. You do need to remember though that different states and countries have different limits and rules. This is why you need to make sure to check on these things before you play Airsoft.
In most countries you can legally own Airsoft guns without having a license. The countries wherein this is true include the USA (excluding some States), England, France, Sweden, Russia, Norway, Argentina, Italy and Switzerland just to name a few. However, the minimum age limit for owning an Airsoft gun does vary from one country to the next. For instance, in the United States (USA) the minimum age for purchasing an Airsoft gun is 18-years-old. On the other hand, in the United Kingdom (UK) the minimum age is 17-years-old. However, a minor between the ages of 14 and 17-years-old can use an Airsoft gun in the UK as long as they are being supervised by an adult.
Of course, you should not display your Airsoft gun in public unless it is in a glass case. This is because it looks just like the real thing since it is actually a replica of a real gun. For this reason, the majority of schools also forbid Airsoft guns to be present on school grounds. You will find this holds true even though every Airsoft gun in the United States has to have the barrel marked with a 6mm orange or red tip so that it can be easily distinguished from a real gun. This is not required in either France or England though. Therefore you really should check with your local Airsoft gun laws to see what is required before you use your Airsoft gun.
You will also find that each country has its own laws in regards to the Airsoft gun's firepower limit. Usually it is around 300 to 350 fps indoors and 350 to 450 fps outdoors though. Nevertheless different countries have their own laws so before you play Airsoft you need to check with your local laws.
Today there are also clear Airsoft guns being manufactured. This is being done as an extra safety precaution. Thanks to these guns, uninformed people will not panic thinking that your Airsoft gun is a real firearm and thus an honest threat. Therefore, you may wish to consider purchasing this type of gun for your gaming enjoyment.
